LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV men's soccer junior forward Salvador Bernal, a Las Vegas native, earned all-region honors for the second straight year as he was named to the NSCAA All-Far West Region Third Team, it was announced on Monday. He becomes the first Rebel to be selected all-region twice since Kelly Frederick in 2001 and 2002, as Bernal was also a third-team honoree in 2012.

This past month, Bernal became only the third player in team history to earn three first team all-conference honors, as he was selected to the All-WAC First Team after two seasons as a first-team selection in the MPSF. He finished the season tied for second in the WAC this season with six assists, while he posted four goals for 14 total points. That tied him for ninth in the league, and second on the Rebels.

The Rebels finished the season 7-10-2, and third in the WAC with a 5-4-1 mark.
