LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV men's soccer sophomore forward Salvador Bernal, a Las Vegas native, was named to the NSCAA All-Far West Region Third Team, it was announced on Monday. Bernal is the first Rebel to earn regional honors in three years.

Bernal was also named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation First Team last month, his second straight appearance on the squad, while he was also the only underclassman on this year's MPSF first team. He tied for third in the conference in scoring with a team-high 21 points, and also tied for fourth in goals with eighth. He also has five assists on the season, good for a tie for ninth in the MPSF, while a team-high five of his seven goals came in league action.

The Rebels finished the season 6-14-1, and advanced to the MPSF Tournament before falling to eventual champion Air Force in the first round.
