Rick Pratt

Rick Pratt begins his second season with the UNLV men's and women's swimming and diving program and coaches the breaststroke groups. Pratt is a 2001 graduate of the University of Alabama, where he earned a bachelor's degree in sports fitness management. Pratt joined the Rebels from Rutgers University where he spent one season as an assistant coach and specialized in training middle distance and distance group swimmers. Prior to Rutgers, Pratt spent two seasons as a volunteer assistant coach at Alabama, assisting with the middle distance and sprint groups. He also spent two seasons as head coach of the Crimson Tide Aquatics club team. As a competitor, Pratt was a two-year letterwinner and captain of Alabama swim team. While swimming with the Crimson Tide, Pratt was the recipient of the Marshall Shoemaker Award for efforts in practice. He also participated in the 1996 Canadian Olympic Trials. Pratt and his wife Melissa recently welcomed the birth of their child, Jacob. |
