Rebels Put Up Strong Fight in loss to No. 16 ASU

LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's swimming team dropped a 138-99 decision to Arizona State on Saturday afternoon at the Buchanan Natatorium.
The Rebels opened the meet with a victory in the 200 medley relay. Other highlights in the meet include freshman Tiger Christian winning the 200 IM and sophomore Damian Demenno winning the 1000 free.
"There where several close races where we touched out their guys," said UNLV assistant coach Rick Pratt. "We swam with a lot of heart. For early in the season the times posted where a great indication for a strong season and the team is very excited to face last years conference champions BYU on Friday."
