LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - Returning to the courts for the first time in nearly three weeks, the UNLV men’s tennis team opened up a string of four matches in three days with a 4-0 win over Ball State at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
The Rebels improved to 5-4 overall while the Cardinals of the Mid-American Conference fell to 10-3.
The hosts opened by quickly taking the first two completed doubles matches by the same score of 6-2.
Moving to singles play, UNLV won the first set on every court en route to gaining three more points to clinch the victory.
REBEL OF THE MATCH: Local product Clayton Alenik teamed with Eric Samuelsson for a 6-2 doubles win on court two and then dispatched Bryce Bonin 6-2, 6-1 at the sixth position to improve to 3-0 in dual matches.
NET NOTE: The Rebels have won the doubles point in four straight matches.
