Men's Tennis Rolls Over Utah State|

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's tennis team won its third straight match with a 7-0 shutout of visiting Utah State on Friday afternoon at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
UNLV improved to 6-8 overall while the Aggies fell to 4-6.
The Rebels started strong by winning all three doubles matches for one team point. Bernard Schoeman and Brian Kenyon defeated Sven Poslusny and Marcus Fritz, 8-7 at No. 1; Tamas Batyi and Johannes Markel downed Andrew and Lenny Whiting 8-4 at No. 2; and Charlie Alvarado and Rene Ruegamer won 8-3 over Matt Sweet and Nate Ballam on court three by the score of 8-3.
UNLV also did not lose a set in singles. Ruegamer downed Poslusny 6-2, 6-0 at the top position, Alex Bull defeated Fritz 6-4, 6-1 at No. 2; Batyi won 7-6, 6-1 over Fredrik Peterson at No. 3; Alvarado downed Sweet 7-6, 6-2 at No. 4; Markel swept Lenny Whiting 6-2, 6-2 at No. 5; and Willie Sublette finished off Ballam 6-2, 6-1 on court six.
Next up, the Rebels host Northern Arizona on Sunday beginning with doubles play at 10 a.m. Admission to all UNLV matches is free of charge.
