Rebs Fall In Fresno|

FRESNO, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's tennis team dropped a heartbreaking 4-3 decision to Fresno State on Saturday at the Wathen Tennis Center.
The Rebels, who fell by just one point in both of their Mountain West losses, dropped to 12-9 and 2-2 in league play while the Bulldogs improved to 11-8/3-3.
The hosts earned the key doubles point by taking two of three matches. UNLV won at the top of the lineup as Ace Matias and Denys Pume downed Sai Kartik Nakireddi and John Darmstaedter 8-3. However, FS took the other matches to secure the lead.
In singles play, the Bulldogs built a 3-0 advantage before Matias got his team on the board with a 7-6, 6-2 win over Nakireddi at the No. 1 position. UNLV's other two points came from Pume, who downed Nikolas Papic 6-7, 7-5, 5-1 retired at No. 2; and Jakob Amilon, who got past Alexandros Georgios 6-2, 4-6, 6-2 on court six.
Next up, UNLV plays at Utah State on Friday.
