Men's Tennis Set To Start Conference Play

March 20, 2017

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's tennis team will start conference play this week at the Fertitta Tennis Complex. The Rebels are set to host conference opponent Boise State on Tuesday (11 a.m. PT) followed by Idaho State (3 p.m. PT). All matches will begin with doubles play and admission is free of charge.

The Rebels are currently 9-3 after falling to fifth-ranked Oklahoma State 4-1 and downing Montana 6-1 last weekend.

UNLV’s last time facing Boise State was in last year’s Mountain West conference tournament championship, where the fourth-seeded UNLV men's tennis team upended second-seeded Boise State 4-3 to capture the program's second Mountain West Conference tournament championship. That win marked an end to Boise State’s four-year run of Mountain West titles and shattered the Broncos’ perfect 13-0 all-time record in Championship play.
