Cozbinov Finishes Career With Top-100 Ranking

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV men’s tennis standout Alexandr Cozbinov finished ranked 95th in the nation in singles by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).

The highly decorated senior closed his career with an 18-10 overall mark, including upsetting the nation’s No. 1 ranked player, Martin Redlicki of UCLA, en route to earning his first trip to the NCAA Singles Championship.

Cozbinov a native of Chișinău, Moldova, was also ranked as the top player in the entire Mountain Region by the ITA. The 2018 Mountain West Men’s Player of the Year was named All-MW for the third consecutive season and voted the ITA regional Senior Player of the Year for head coach Owen Hambrook’s program.
