UNLV REBELS

David Jackson was named Associate Director of UNLV Student-Athlete Academic Services in May 2006. David's primary responsibility is to provide academic advisement and support services for the Men's Basketball and Baseball teams, while assisting Jeff Higgins with the administration of the academic support program.

Jackson earned both of his degrees from Texas Tech University; a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems in 2001, and a master's degree in Higher Education Administration in 2002. Before coming to UNLV, Jackson worked in the Texas Tech Athletic department for three years; serving as a student-assistant, a graduate assistant, and finally, a counseling specialist.

Jackson joined the UNLV athletics staff in March 2003 and has moved through the ranks of Athletic Academic Advisor to Eligibility Coordinator, and now to Associate Director. He is a member of the National Academic Advisors Association for Athletics.
