LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) -

Monday’s game for the UNLV women's basketball team at Nevada, Reno (6 pm start in the Lawlor Events Center) is the first of two this week for the Lady Rebels against future Mountain West members. The Lady Rebels will also face Fresno State in Las Vegas on Friday, and both UNR and FSU will become members of the MW in the 2012-13 season.

The series has been dominated by UNLV by a 25-6 margin. Head coach Kathy Olivier, a former All-American for the Lady Rebels, knows just how important the rivalry is for UNLV, and is perfect against UNR following wins in Las Vegas in 2008 and 2010 and at Reno in 2009.

A win on Monday for UNLV would match its entire win total from 2010-11, with still the entire second half of the regular season schedule still to come.

One Lady Rebels could reach a milestone against the Wolf Pack. Senior forward Jamie Smith is just one rebound away from reaching 1,000 in her career, and is 39 points away from becoming the 21st Lady Rebel to score 1,000 points in their career.
