LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) -

The UNLV women's basketball team contest on Saturday against Utah State is also National Girls and Women in Sport Day at UNLV, with a free pre-game clinic to be held for kids in grades 2-8 from 1:30-3:30 pm, prior to the 4 pm contest between the Lady Rebels and Aggies in the Cox Pavilion. More information on registration for the clinic is available at unlvwomensbasketballcamps.com.

UNLV is also for its first sweep of the season after winning the first meeting with the Aggies by a 73-67 score in Logan, Utah, despite having four players foul out during the game. All-time UNLV is 10-0 against the Aggies in Las Vegas, though the first nine meetings were between 1975 and 1986. The 10th meeting came in the 2008-09 season, which was a 65-47 victory by UNLV in the Cox Pavilion.

There will be a live webcast of the game, thanks to the UNLV-TV student production group, that will be featured on the Mountain West Network at UNLVRebels.com. while the UNLV radio broadcast, featuring the call from Adam Candee, Jesse Vineyard and Jamie Smith is available on KSHP 1400 AM and also off a link at UNLVRebels.com.

Win Streak At Five For First Place Lady Rebels
Thanks to a 13-2 run to finish the first half and an 11-4 run to end the game, the UNLV women's basketball team survived a bizarre second half and moved into a tie for first place in the Mountain West with its fifth straight win, 73-67 at Utah State on Wednesday night at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
