LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) -

There is no shortage of storylines for UNLV going into Wednesday night’s contest against Colorado State in the Cox Pavilion (7 pm). It’s Senior Night for the Lady Rebels, and four players will be playing their final regular season home game in a UNLV jersey. Lenita Sanford, Markiell Styles, Sandrine Nzeukou and Jamie Smith will all be honored for their career at UNLV in a ceremony prior to the start of the contest. Tickets are a special 2-for-1 promotion, while children 12 and under are always free.

The game against the Rams is also a showdown for second place and the second seed in next week’s 2012 Mountain West Championship. Both teams are 9-4 in league play coming into the game, and UNLV is looking to avenge its earlier loss to the Rams in Fort Collins back on Feb. 2. UNLV is looking for its first-ever top-two MW finish, and a 10th league win would tie for the most in team history in MW play. With a win, UNLV would claim the second seed in next week’s tournament, to face seventh-seed New Mexico in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, March 7 at 6 pm. A loss would send UNLV to the third-seed, to face sixth-seed New Mexico at 8:30 pm.
