UNLV Game Notes | Utah State notes

For the first time in program history, the UNLV Lady Rebels enter the final game of the regular season in first place in the Mountain West, as they are tied with Boise State and Wyoming, all at 13-4. UNLV can clinch a first place finish with a win on its Senior Night, as it hosts the Utah State Aggies Friday night in the Cox Pavilion at 6 pm.

It is also March Misfit Madness for the Lady Rebels, as both they and the Aggies will be wearing mismatched socks to show support for anti-bullying. All fans are encouraged to do the same. Following the contest will be the Senior Banquet, at the Thomas & Mack Center. The cost is $10 for fans.

Single game ticket prices for the Lady Rebels this season are $8 for adults, $5 if bought online at, while kids 12 and under are free at all UNLV Lady Rebel home contests.

The game will be live streamed on the Mountain West with Wyatt Tomchek and Caleb Herring as the talent, and there will also be a radio broadcast with the call of Adam Candee and Kevaney Martin. Both will be available through

A win Friday would give UNLV 14 conference victories for the first time since going 14-4 in the Big West in 1993-94, which was also the last time the Lady Rebels won a conference title (Big West tournament).

UNLV is also looking for its fifth season sweep of the conference season, after knocking off the Aggies 63-54 in the second game of the league schedule back on Jan. 6. The Lady Rebels are also 15-0 all-time against Utah State in Las Vegas, including last season’s 68-43 win in the MW Quarterfinals in the Thomas & Mack Center. UNLV is also 7-1 at home in league play this year, with the lone loss on a last second three-pointer. The Aggies are 1-12 on the road this year, including 0-8 in Mountain West action. Lady Rebels’ success in the conference this season has been fueled by its outstanding post play. UNLV has outscored its past 15 opponents 526-302 on points in the paint while holding a +8.2 rebound margin for the 15 contests. The Lady Rebels are excel at finding their way to the free throw line, and are currently 12th in the nation with 447 made free throws this season.
