Not only is this the highest seed ever for UNLV, it marks the first time the Lady Rebels will wear white in a quarterfinal game since the 2004 tournament. In fact, this will be only the fifth time in 21 tournament games that UNLV will be the higher seed.

Though only one current Lady Rebel has ever won a game in the MW Championships (Jamie Smith as a freshman in 2009), UNLV counters with the most experienced starting lineup in the league, with three seniors and two juniors, and four of the five players are three or four-year starters (First-Team All-MW Lenita Sanford is the fifth player).
