Full UNLV game notes at Fresno State

Winners of two straight, including one on the road, the UNLV women's basketball team is looking to make it three straight on Saturday as it ends the regular season at Fresno State in a 2 pm contest. This is the second straight opponent Senior Day the Lady Rebels are playing in after claiming a 70-60 win at Boise State on Wednesday. The UNLV radio broadcast for Wednesday's game by Adam Candee can be heard on KSHP 1400 AM as well as off a link from

Though the game will not make a difference in seedings for next week’s Mountain West Championships, with UNLV having clinched the fourth seed and a quarterfinal matchup with New Mexico, the team would love to bring in the momentum of a three-game win streak into the tournament. Fresno State meanwhile is riding a three-game win streak of its own. A win would give UNLV a second-straight winning season in MW play for the first time since 2004.

Upset Bid Falls Short In 72-66 Loss
UNLV nearly pulled off a big upset at home over first place Fresno State, but Rosie Moult's fifth trey of the night put the Bulldogs up four with over a minute to play and FSU made 9-of-10 free throws in the final minute to escape with the 72-66 victory in Mountain West women's basketball action on Wednesday night at the Cox Pavilion.
