	Lady Rebels Place Five On MWC All-Academic Team UNLV placed five members of the women's basketball team on the 2008 Spring Academic All-Mountain West Conference team. To be eligible for selection to the Academic All-MWC team, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the school while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their team. Lady Rebels Add 2008-09 Recruit
Jamie Smith has signed a national letter of intent to play for the UNLV women's basketball team starting in the fall of 2008-09, head coach Kathy Olivier announced on Friday. Smith is the first player to be signed by Olivier since she took over as head coach in April. [ + ]

Caitlin Collier and Kari Duperron have been named women's basketball assistant coaches at UNLV, head coach Kathy Olivier announced on Tuesday. Duperron joined the staff this month, while Collier will start on June 1. [ + ]

Holmes Becomes Third Lady Rebel To Reach The WNBA
Sequoia Holmes will miss her college graduation on Saturday for a good reason, as she learned on Friday that she has become the third player in UNLV women's basketball history to reach the WNBA. The Las Vegas native survived the final roster cut and will be on the Houston Comets opening day roster when the 2008 WNBA season starts on Saturday. [ + ]

Lady Rebel Summer Camps Ready For New Beginning In 2009
Due to the recent transition of the entire coaching staff over the past two months, the UNLV women's basketball program will be suspending its basketball camps this summer. They will bring back a full set of basketball camps (including individual, elite, team, with others to possibly be added as well) for the summer in 2009. [ + ]

Lady Rebels Welcome Back Olivier As New Head Coach
Former Lady Rebel Kathy Olivier has been named head coach for the UNLV women's basketball team, Director of Athletics Mike Hamrick announced on Tuesday. Olivier, who is the eighth head coach in the Lady Rebels' 33-year history, comes back to Las Vegas after spending the past 15 years as head coach at UCLA. [ + ]
