Arkansas took home the team title in the ninth installment of the event on a chilly and windy day, posting the third-best score at 18-under par. The Razorbacks were the lone team to finish under par and were followed by Kent State (+5), and defending champion Arizona (+8) in third.
Emily Tubert posted the second-best individual finish en route to medalist honors, closing the tournament at 11-under par. Tubert set the course record and tied the NCAA record for lowest round relative to par with a 9-under 63 on Monday. Martina Gavier (Kent State), Corinna Rees (Arkansas) and Kelli Shean (Arkansas) all tied for second at 6-under par.
UNLV’s Therese Koelbaek wrapped up one of the busiest stretches of her collegiate career with a sixth place tie at 3-under par. Koelbaek took third at the Dale McNamara Invitational in Tulsa on October 13 then flew to Argentina to compete in the World Amateur Team Championships for her home country of Denmark. The two-time All-American tied for 16th place in the four-day event and returned to the U.S. just one day before the start of the Showdown.
Bethany Glassford turned in best performance of the season with a 6-over par 222 total. Glassford shot a career-low 4-under par 68 on day two to move into the top 10 heading into the final round.
Katerina Prorokova carded the best round of her young collegiate career with a 2-over 74 today. Prorokova shot three straight rounds under 80 to finish at 12-over par and in a tie for 54th.
