Rebels Close Out Fall With 12th-Place Finish In Texas

DALLAS, Texas ( - UNLV women's golf closed out its fall slate Tuesday with the final round of the Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas, Texas, hosted by Southern Methodist University. The Rebels shot a 23-over 311 over the last 18 holes to finish in 12th at 63-over 927.

UNLV's top finisher was freshman Polly Mack at tied for 21st at 13-over 229, while junior Elizabeth Prior came in two shots behind her at 15-over 231 to tie for 30th.

Houston held a five-shot lead over Kansas State heading into Tuesday's final round but the Wildcats leapfrogged the Cougars to win the tournament by two shots at 29-over 893. Individually, Kansas State's Reid Isaac was the wire-to-wire winner, finishing alone at the top as the only player to shoot under par for the tournament at 1-under 215.

REBEL OF THE DAY: Mack was the most consistent Rebel during the fall season, particularly over the month of October with three top-25 finishes, including two in the top-10.

The Rebels won their first tournament win of the season at last week's victory at their home-hosted Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown
This is just the second year of the Trinity Forest Invitational. The Rebels have now played in both tournaments. Last year rain wreaked havoc and only two rounds were played over a muddy and rainy two days
Last season, UNLV won the Mountain West Championship for the second straight year
UNLV has appeared in 15 straight NCAA Regionals 
The Rebels have won three conference championships in seven years under head coach Amy Bush-Herzer

UNLV will not compete again until February.
