UNLV Co-Hosts Rebel Beach Invitational At Spanish Trail This Week|

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - After opening its spring slate at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge in Palos Verdes, California, last week, UNLV women's golf will play two of its next three tournaments in Las Vegas, beginning Monday and Tuesday with the Rebel Beach Invitational at Spanish Trail Golf Club. The inaugural tournament, co-hosted by the Rebels and Long Beach State, will feature three rounds over two days on a par 72 6,355 yard course and will begin each morning at 8:30 a.m. PT with a shotgun start.
UNLV finished 17th as a team in Palos Verdes, with freshman Polly Mack the highest Rebel finisher at the tournament, tying for 38th at 12-over. Junior Elizabeth Prior came in second in a tie for 47th with a three-round score of 14-over. Prior is currently ranked 53rd according to Golf Week, while Mack sits at 85th in the country.
After Rebel Beach, the Scarlet and Gray will head to Tucson for the Wildcat Invitational March 5-6 before returning to the Las Vegas for the Jackrabbit Invitational, hosted by South Dakota State, on March 12-13.
THE FIELD: The 2018 Rebel Beach Invitational will be represented by a field of 12 teams including co-hosts UNLV and Long Beach State. Joining the Rebels and 49ers will be BYU; Colorado State; Idaho; Kennesaw State; Nevada, Reno; New Mexico; Northern Arizona; Ole Miss; UC Irvine and Wyoming.
THE LINEUP: The UNLV lineup at the Rebel Beach Invitational is senior Elizabeth Prior, freshman Polly Mack, sophomore Nastasia Kossacky, senior Mackenzie Raim and junior Alyssa Getty.Juniors Shannon Oh and Texie June Petchel and freshman Cathy Liu will play as individuals.
