Defending Mountain West Champions Kick Off 2017 Campaign Friday

The Rebels host the UNLV Invitational this weekend at Peter Johann Memorial Field, facing Drake Friday, August 18 at 7 p.m. and Wright State Sunday, August 20 at 1 p.m.

UNLV Opens 2016 Season on the Road at UTRGV Invitational

The Rebels will face Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday at 2 p.m. PT and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Sunday at 11 a.m. PT in Edinburg, Texas

Started for three years…Started at the goalkeeper, midfielder and defender positions at Mead High School in Mead, Colo. as a freshman before transferring to Cherokee Trail High School… Helped her teams earn a playoff appearance in all four years of high school…Awarded the Labande Award in 2015 after posting 10 shutout games and a 0.9 GAA and playing in all 1,368 minutes (second in school history)…Allowed just eight goals in 16 games in 2016 and also made 76 saves…Used to wrestle, placing third in the district and regional tournaments her freshman year…Placed on honor roll all four years. Club: Competed for Storm South for the past four years…Helped the team to a state cup semifinal game in 2015 and the 2014 Denver Cup Championship. Personal: Taylor Rey Heil…Daughter of Brian and Lindsey Heil…Has two younger brothers, Brycen and Trevyn, and one younger sister, Brooklyn…Dad played football for Northern Colorado and helped the Bears win the 1996 and ’97 National Championships…Mother played softball at Adams State…Grandfather Bob Heil played football at the Colorado School of Mines…Grandfather Chuck Schnnorr played football at Southern Colorado…Majoring in kinesiology.
