RICHMOND, Va. - For the second straight game the UNLV women's soccer team played to a double-overtime tie, this time a 0-0 final against the host VCU Rams on the second day of the VCU/Eurosport Invitational on Sunday afternoon. With their second tie in the tournament, the Rebels finished in third place, while the Rams claimed first place due to their win over Florida Atlantic on Friday.

The tie did increase UNLV's unbeaten streak to five games, tying the school record, as the Rebels (3-1-2) have not lost since the season opener. The Rams moved to 1-1-3 on the year.

Freshman goalkeeper Ciera Nero posted her second career shutout in the game, though was credited with just two saves despite the Rebels being outshot 18-7. VCU also held a 17-2 edge on corner kicks. Emily Niman and Lauren Hardison both played in the net for the Rams, and combined for three saves.

UNLV placed two on the all-tournament team, Tanya Roberts and Erica Frizzell.

The Rebels will return to action this weekend as they host the UNLV adidas Classic. Long Beach State and Sam Houston will meet at 4:30 pm on Friday in the first game, with UNLV taking on Fresno State in the second game at 7 pm. Both games will be played at Peter Johann Memorial Field.
