ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - UNLV's Brianna Moore scored eight minutes into overtime to give the Rebels a 2-1 overtime victory over New Mexico in Mountain West Conference women's soccer action on Friday night from the UNM Soccer Complex. The win kept UNLV undefeated in league play at 2-0-1 (7-3-5 overall), while the Lobos dropped to 7-4-2, 1-2 in the MWC.

New Mexico scored the first goal of the game midway through the second half, when Alexis Ball found the back of the net in the 64th minute. Hannah Hand began the scoring play when she sent a cross into the box, that Ball sent past Rebel goalkeeper Alicia Lugo for the score and a 1-0 lead.

UNLV tied the game 11 minutes later, as Jessica Destito drove into the box, received a cross from Erica Jensen and scored her first goal of the season to knot the score at 1-1 in the 75th minute. The Rebels then had five shots over the final 15 minutes of the second half, but couldn't get the winning score and the game would go to overtime.

In the overtime, the Lobos got off the first two shots, but both were wild. Nearing the end of the first overtime period, Destito sent a cross pass from the right side into the box to Moore, who placed it into the goal in the 99th minute for the golden goal. It was Moore's second career goal, and her first-ever game-winner. The victory was also UNLV's first overtime win of the year, after three four overtime draws.

Lugo finished with seven saves to earn the victory for UNLV, while Shannon Adragna finished with three saves and two goals allowed for the Lobos. New Mexico held an 18-14 edge on shots for the game.

UNLV will remain on the road this weekend for its next game, as it will face TCU on Sunday, October 21 at 11 am.
