ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - New Mexico scored two second-half goals in an eight-minute stretch to claim a 2-0 victory over UNLV in the regular season finale for both teams in Mountain West Conference women's soccer action on Saturday night from the UNM Soccer Complex.

The eventual game-winner for the Lobos came in the 51st minute, as Rachel Fields headed in a cross past Rebel goalkeeper Alicia Lugo. Zaneta Wyne and Jael Fanning assisted on the score. New Mexico would add to its lead in the 59th minute on a score from Wyne, when she one-timed a pass from Fanning on a through ball into the goal for a 2-0 edge.

Lugo finished the game with nine saves to end her career as the conference's all-time saves leader with 329, passing the previous record of 327, held by New Mexico's Kristen Winters (2001-05). Kelli Cornell posted two saves to earn the shutout for the Lobos. UNLV ends the season at 5-9-5, 1-5-1 in the conference while New Mexico moved to 13-4-2, 4-3 in MWC play.
