The UNLV women's soccer team had a school-record 15 players named to the 2012 Academic All-Mountain West team, the league announced Thursday.

Of the 15 total players, eight were repeat selections, including Caitlin Allen and Julie Owens, all named to their fourth team. Making their third appearance was Courtney Botelho, Macy Jo Harrison, Kylie Wassell and Jenn Wolfe. Erica Meier and Denali Murnan earned their second mention. Kristen Sankey and Samantha Weber, both sophomores, earned their first honor while a total of four freshmen were named, Nicole Candioglos, Addie Guida, Meaghan Pasbrig and Alexis Peterson

To be eligible for selection student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the school while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their team.
