UNLV women's soccer head coach Chris Shaw has announced the Rebels' 2018 fall schedule, which features 20 regular season games - nine at Peter Johann Memorial Field and 11 on the road.

For the second straight season and third in in five years under Shaw, the Scarlet and Gray will open the year with the annual UNLV Invitational, Aug. 17-19. The 2018 version will feature Sacramento State, UC Santa Barbara, University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and UNLV. The Rebels will take on UIC in the season opener at 7 p.m. on Friday August 17, then wrap up the weekend Sunday, August 19 at 1 p.m. against Sacramento State.

After the invitational, the remainder of the non-conference slate is road heavy, with five of the next seven taking place away from Las Vegas. The stretch begins with three straight on the road, beginning Thursday, August 23 at Southern Utah, followed by a Saturday, August 25th matchup with Utah Valley in Orem and concluding the following Thursday, August 30 at Cal State Northridge.

UNLV returns home Labor Day weekend for a Sunday matinee against CSU Bakersfield on September 2, before a road-home split the following weekend at Northern Arizona on Friday, September 7 and against Montana on Sunday, September 9.

The Scarlet and Gray will then finish out the non-conference schedule at UC Riverside on Sunday, September 16.

Mountain West play begins with another road-home weekend, with the league opener taking place in Logan, Utah, on Friday, September 21 against the Aggies of Utah State. UNLV will then host Boise State in its MW home-opener on Sunday, September 23.

The following weekend, the Rebels will head to Colorado Springs for matches against Colorado College and Air Force on Friday, September 28 and Sunday, September 30, respectively, before heading back to Las Vegas for a four-game conference homestand. That stretch kicks off Friday, October 5 game against Fresno State, followed by a Sunday, October 7 showdown with reigning Mountain West regular season champion San Jose State.

The next weekend, the Rebels will face New Mexico on Friday, October 12 and conclude its home slate Sunday, October 14 against San Diego State on Senior Day.

The last three regular season games will be on the road, beginning at Colorado State on Friday, October 19, then at Wyoming on Sunday, October 21 and finishing with the annual Governor's Series matchup against UNR on Friday, October 26 in Reno.

SJSU will host the 2018 Mountain West tournament, which will take place October 30 - November 4.

The Rebels will return seven starters from a 2017 squad that went 13-7 and finished in a tie for sixth in conference standings, but will have a tall task ahead of them after the winningest class in program history graduated this spring. The 2018 team will be a young one as it will feature 23 underclassmen, including 10 incoming freshman and four key transfers - three from Pac-12 programs - that look poised to make an immediate impact.
