LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV's Jenn Wolfe earned her first career conference weekly honor as she was named the Mountain West Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday morning. She is the first Rebel to earn weekly honors this season.

A senior forward and native of Olathe, Kan., Wolfe posted a total of five points over the weekend while leading the Rebels to a 2-0 record and the UNLV Invitational tournament title. She recorded a pair of goals, which either tied or surpassed the total team output of every other team in the Mountain West over the weekend, and added her first assist as well.

She began the weekend by scoring UNLV's fourth goal of the game in a 5-0 rout of Portland State on Aug. 30, and also assisted on the Rebels' second goal of the game. On Sunday against LIU Brooklyn, she drew a penalty kick after stealing the ball from the Blackbirds goalkeeper in the 80th minute. She would convert the PK for the eventual game-winner in the 3-2 victory. That gave her a league-high four goals on the year, while her nine points also tops the league. Wolfe notched her second game-winner of the season, and eighth in her career, just two off the school record. She was also one of four Rebels named to the all-tournament team for her weekend performance.

The Rebels, 3-1 on the season, return to action on Friday with a road contest at Sacramento State at 2:30 pm.
