LAS VEGAS - For the first time in UNLV school history, both of its soccer teams are ranked regionally in the same week, as the Rebel women's team is eighth in this week's NSCAA West Region, while the UNLV men's squad is 10th in the NSCAA Far West Region, as this week's polls were released on Tuesday morning.

Not only are both teams ranked in the regional, both teams are receiving an identical four votes each in the National Top-25 NSCAA poll, another first for UNLV to have both teams at least receiving top 25 votes in the same week.

The UNLV women's soccer team is off to a 7-2-1 start, and were ranked 25th by Soccer America last week before falling to Robert Morris 2-1 on Friday night. The Rebel men meanwhile have put together a 5-2-1 start to the year. They are off until an Oct. 3 contest at Air Force, while the UNLV women return to action on Thursday night by hosting Northern Colorado at 7 pm.
