Rebels Host Rams In Solo Action

The UNLV women's soccer team plays at home this weekend, hosting Colorado State on Sunday at 1 pm. The Rebels are glad to be home after two tough losses on the road, both of which came by 1-0 margins in overtime. That leaves UNLV in a tie for seventh place currently in the Mountain West with three points, and with the top eight advancing to the postseason tournament, the Rebels know they can’t pass up the chance for wins on their home field. Colorado State meanwhile are looking for their first-ever conference win, as the first-year program is 0-4 in league play entering the weekend. In fact, the Rams have been outscored 11-1 in MW action, with the lone goal coming in a 2-1 loss at Air Force, which as been followed by three straight 3-0 losses.

Leading the Rebels this season is senior forward Jenn Wolfe, with five goals and four assists for 14 points, third-best in the league. Sophomore midfielder Susie Bernal is at the top of the MW in assists, while senior goalkeeper Kylie Wassell continues her outstanding career in the goal, and has posted four shutouts this season.
