LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - Senior Jenn Wolfe made her second straight appearance on the All-Mountain West first team, as the league's season awards were announced on Sunday by the league office.
A senior forward from Olathe, Kan., Wolfe was the top offensive player for the Rebels for the second straight season, posting 19 points during the year off six goals and seven assists. Her 19 points this season ranks her in a tie for fourth in the Mountain West with 19 points, while she is tied for fifth with five goals, and tied for first with seven assists. She also has three game-winner goals this season, the most recent coming in UNLV's 2-1 win over Nevada, Reno on Friday night with her golden goal with 12 seconds left in double-overtime. That ties her for third-best in the league as well.
The Rebels, who finished the regular season at 10-8-2, open play in the 2013 MWC Tournament on Monday as the sixth seed. They will meet seventh-seeded Wyoming at 3 pm (PT) in Albuquerque, N.M., as New Mexico is the host of this year's championships.
