Seven Rebels Honored With NFCA Scholar-Athlete Award|

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - Seven members of the 2017 UNLV softball team were named NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete award winners for the 2016-17 academic year, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced Tuesday. Six are current Rebels - senior Brooke Stover, juniors Kiley Harrison, Jamie Hatch and Abby Howard and sophomores Reina Bondi and Breana Burke - while the seventh is former Rebel Kylie Rasmussen.
The NFCA saw a record 7,351 softball players across seven membership divisions earn NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2016-17 academic year. NCAA Division I led the way with 1,843 student-athletes earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher.
UNLV will wrap up its fall practice schedule this month under new head coach Kristie Fox.
