Julie Weddle begins her fourth season as the head diving coach with the UNLV swimming and diving program.
Prior to joining UNLV, Weddle served as diving coach for the Clark County High School Sunrise Division in Las Vegas. She spent three years as the assistant coach of the Nevada Diving Club in Reno and served as the assistant diving coach in the Washoe County School District.
Weddle was a four-year letterwinner at Nevada, Reno. She finished fifth in the three-meter diving event at the 2001 WAC Championship meet, and finished 22nd and 23rd, respectively, in the one- and three-meter boards at the NCAA Zone meet. She finished second in the one-meter diving event and third in the three-meter at the 2000 Big West Championships. As a sophomore, she took eighth in the 1-meter competition at the 1999 Big West Championships and qualified for the NCAA Zone Championships. She graduated from UNR in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in health ecology. Weddle and her husband, Justin, have one son, Karter.
