Women's Swimming Finishes Sixth at WAC Championships

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. -- UNLV concluded its season with a sixth place finish at the WAC Swimming and Diving Championships. The Rebels finished the meet with 269 total points, trailing first place SMU, Brigham Young, Colorado State, Fresno State and Rice.

Donna Wu swam to a sixth place finish in the 1650 free (16:54.01) and Ashleigh Crowder finished in third in the 200 back (2:00.85) to highlight the final day. Crowder's time was a personal-best and an NCAA provisional qualifying time. Wu and Crowder also teamed up in the 400 freestyle relay with Shannon Baranowski and Jen Crowder for a fifth place finish (3:28.88).

Other scorers in final-day action included Sarah Schneider (7th 200 breast, 2:22.18), Jen Crowder (14th 200 breast, 2:24.01), Lisa Hess (13th 200 back, 2:06.52), Victoria Naess (12th 100 free, 52.33), and Sabrina Ferrari (15th 200 butterfly, 2:08.27).
