LAS VEGAS - Kim Bonney was one of four Rebel student-athletes voted to a CoSIDA Academic Team, the organization of sport information directors announced May 25. Bonney was selected to the Women's At-Large Second Team.

Bonney, a sophomore and native of Cape Town, South Africa, claimed runner-up honors in the 200 IM at the 2006 MWC Championships, and also placed fourth in the 200 breast, fifth in the 100 breast, and swam breaststroke on the third-place 200 and 400 medley relays. Bonney was the 2005 MWC 200 breast champion in her first year on the Rebels. She was also recently named UNLV's Most Outstanding Female Scholar-Athlete earlier this month as she holds the highest cumulative GPA at the school.
