LAS VEGAS - Construction continues this summer on the renovation of Buchanan Natatorium, the home facility for the UNLV men's and women's swimming and diving programs. It will be a total replacement of the Olympic sized pool, and the newly renovated facility, which is scheduled to be completed in December of this year, will include a new chemical system, a new pump system, as well as a new diving board setup and a replacement of the pool deck as well.

"This new pool will be a state-of-the-art racing and diving facility, with dual bulkheads, fully recessed gutters, and a minimum depth of seven-feet," said head coach Jim Reitz, who will begin his 30th year at UNLV this fall. "We are so excited for what this renovation means as a tool to facilitate our team's rapid rise in the national rankings."

The initial steps of the process began on March 16th when demolition and removal of the existing pool began. You can click on the following photo gallery to see pictures of the work taken back in March and April, while more will be added to the website this summer and fall.
