LAS VEGAS - UNLV senior Kim Bonney was named Mountain West Conference Women's Co-Swimmer of the Meet it was announced on Wednesday by the league. It's the first career weekly honor for Bonney, who helped the Rebels to a seventh place finish in the Texas Invitational this past weekend in Austin, Texas.

Bonney, a native of Cape Town, South Africa, posted a pair of top-eight finishes in the breaststroke events in Texas Invite in the fastest times in the conference this season. Her highest finished was in the 200 breast, as she posted a time of 2:16.16 to place sixth. Bonney then added an eighth place swim in the 100 breast in 1:03.86. She also swam on three top-eight relays as well, as she was the breast leg on the 200 and 400 medley relays, both of which finished eighth in times that are the fastest in the MWC this year (1:43.47 and 3:48.07), and was also a member of the seventh-place 400 free relay.

The next action for the UNLV women's team will be in the UNLV Winter Invitational, on Dec. 15-17.
