UNLV: One of the top players in the West returns for her final go-round after last year becoming the first Lady Rebel to earn a spot in the nation's top 20 since Elena Gantcheva was 17th in 2006 ... Ranked 32nd in the preseason by the ITA but the defending conference MVP was slowed in the fall because of injury ... Entered her final season ranked third in UNLV history for singles winning percentage with a .763 clip ... Also ranked ninth in career wins at the school with 87 ... Has posted a stunning 21-1 singles record in conference play as a Lady Rebel ... Took part in the fifth annual Party Rock Open, a USTA Pro Circuit women's event held at Las Vegas' Darling Tennis Center in September ... Playing unattached after receiving a wild card entry, she won her first match, 6-3, 6-3, over Jessica Lawrence before falling to third-seeded Sanaz Marand, 6-2, 6-2 ... 2013: Named the Mountain West Player of the Year after rolling through all seven opponents at the top spot in the singles lineup as a junior ... Also voted the UNLV Sportswoman of the Year for the 2012-13 campaign after finishing ranked 43rd in the nation ... As part of her 34-9 overall singles mark, Josifoska had seven wins over opponents that ended the year ranked in the top 100 ... Playing at the top of the lineup, Josifoska helped the Lady Rebels to a MW Tournament title and a spot in the NCAA Tournament .... Her thrilling, three-set victory over 18th-ranked Samantha Vickers would clinch UNLV's 4-3 upset of Tulsa in the first round of the national event ... With the match tied at 3, Josifoska had pulled out the first set against the Conference USA MVP but then saw the Tulsa star come back to take the second stanza. Vickers won the first game of the third and deciding set but Josifoska eventually ultimately closed out the clincher 7-6 (8-6), 4-6, 6-4 to snap her opponent's 17-match winning streak ... It marked Josifoska's 13th straight win while her 34th victory put her into a tie for fourth in school single-season history ... Also earned her first trip to the NCAA Singles Tournament but fell in the first round to No. 11 Mary Weatherholt of Nebraska, 6-4, 6-4... Won a career-high 23 doubles matches, including a 16-8 mark at the No. 2 spot with Janine Erasmus ... A big fall campaign bumped her 60 spots in the rankings to 20th to begin her third spring ... Also ranked No. 1 in singles in the Mountain Region ... Named the MW Player of the Week for the fourth time in her career on March 27 ... Earned a career-high doubles ranking in the preseason with partner Nives Pavlovic, coming in No. 26 on Sept. 7 ... During qualifying, downed Georgia's Lauren Herring, who headed into 2013 ranked eighth ... In the main draw, Josifoska bolted past No. 12 Katie Turvy of Northwestern, 6-2, 6-3, and then came back in the afternoon and fought off North Carolina's Whitney Kay (ranked 21st heading into spring), 7-6 (8-6), 7-5 ... One month later, she became the first player in UNLV history to repeat as a regional champion, winning the singles title at the 2012 USTA/ITA Mountain Regional Championships, which were held at the Fertitta Tennis Complex ... Josifoska first won her semifinal match, 6-2, 6-2 over sixth-seeded Veronica Popovici of Wyoming; and then finished off third-seeded Sarah Pham of Utah, 6-4, 6-3, to take the crown and up her fall record to 14-2 overall ... Returned to the ITA National Indoor Championships in Flushing, N.Y., later that month but lost both of her matches playing indoors at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center ... Also went 6-3 in doubles during the fall while playing with two partners, including reaching the semifinals of the ITA Regional with Batta.
2012: Named All-MW in both singles and doubles for second straight season ... Voted MW Player of the Week for the third time in her career on January 25 ... Ranked second on squad with 29 singles wins, which tied for the 12th-most in the program's single-season history ... Playing at the Nos. 1-2 positions, her 18-5 dual-match record included a perfect 7-0 run vs. MW opponents ... Spent much of the season in the national singles rankings, peaking at No. 87 in January ... Also entered the doubles rankings near the end of the season and finished 59th along with partner Nives Pavlovic ... Duo played in top spot in the lineup and finished 12-9 ... Exploded in her second fall tournament season, including out-dueling teammate Batta to give her program its second consecutive singles title at the ITA Mountain Region Championships in October ... Ranked 117th at the time, she upset No. 95 Batta 6-0, 0-6, 6-2 ... That followed Josifoska upsetting top-seeded and 64th-ranked Anastasia Putilina of Utah, 6-3, 6-1, in the semifinals ...
