Women's Tennis Downed By Fresno State|

BERKELEY, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) - The 51st-ranked UNLV women's tennis team lost 5-2 for the second day in a row, this time to No. 59 Fresno State in Monday's consolation match of the fifth annual Intercollegiate Tennis Association Kick-Off Weekend tournament.
Playing as part of the Berkeley, Calif., site, the Lady Rebels lost the doubles point after the Bulldogs rallied from a four-point deficit and then took the tiebreaker at the third position. Lucia Batta and Nives Pavlovic downed Bianca Modoc and Sophie Watts, 8-3, at the top of the lineup for UNLV's lone doubles win.
In singles, UNLV's won only one of three matches that went to a third set. Aleksandra Josifoska, ranked 20th in the nation, bounced back from an opening-day loss to defeat Aishwarya Agrawal, 1-6, 7-5, 6-2, at the No. 1 spot while Batta swept Rana Sherif Ahmed, 6-2, 6-4, at the second position.
Next up, the Lady Rebels will open their home schedule on Feb. 8 when New Mexico State comes to town.
