Women's Tennis Takes Two|

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The 64th-ranked UNLV women's tennis team shut out its second opponent of the day, 7-0, as the Lady Rebels rolled over Northern Arizona on a cool buy sunny Friday afternoon at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
The Lady Rebels improved to 8-4 overall after also blanking Nevada, Reno earlier in the day.
Against the Lumberjacks, UNLV swept three doubles matches for one team point. Aleksandra Josifoska and Nives Pavlovic won 8-3 over Hannah Stone and Johanna Vang at the No. 1 spot; Lucia Batta and Manon de Lanlay won 8-2 over Nicole Perez and Alice Pacaut at No. 2; and Ella Bourchier and Anett Ferenczi-Bako won 8-2 at Ghizelene Doballah and Alice Walker.
In singles, Batta, ranked 58th, continued her strong play by breezing by Doballah 6-0, 6-1. The sophomore improved to 22-6 overall and 12-0 in dual matches.
Josifoska, ranked 113th, needed a super-tiebreaker to get by Stone, 6-0, 4-6, 1-0 (10-3) at No. 2; Pavlovic downed Perez 6-3, 6-2 at No. 3; de Lanlay defeated Vang 6-4, 6-4 at No. 4; Ferenzczi-Bako outlasted Pacaut 6-7, 7-5, 1-0 (10-1) at No. 5; and Bourchier swept Walker, 6-1, 6-3, on court six.
UNLV is off until hosting VCU on March 15 beginning with doubles at 10 a.m. Admission to all matches is free of charge.
