Women's Tennis Takes To Road To Defeat Air Force|

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (UNLVRebels.com) - The 52nd-ranked UNLV women's tennis team moved over the .500 mark in Mountain West play on Saturday with a 5-2 win at Air Force.
The Lady Rebels improved to 13-8 overall and 3-2 in the conference while the Falcons dropped to 15-5 and 1-2.
The visitors actually had to rally after Air Force took two of three doubles matches to earn a 1-0 lead. The only success for UNLV came on court two where Lucia Batta and Manon de Lanlay eked out an 8-7 (7-4 in the tiebreaker) win over Hannah Dake and Natasha Rizvi.
Moving to singles play, UNLV tied things with a 6-1, 6-3 win by Ella Bourchier over Dake at the fifth position. de Lanlay then fought off Tahlia Smoke 6-0, 4-6, 6-1 at No. 4. After the hosts tied it at 2-2 with a win on court six, the Rebels won three straight points to clinch the victory.
Nives Pavlovic downed Tiffany Tran 6-1, 7-6 at No. 3; Aleksandra Josifoska swept Christine Molina 7-6, 6-3 at No. 2; and Batta defeated Melissa Cecil 7-5, 6-2 at the top of the lineup. The win improved Batta to 28-8 overall, 18-2 in dual matches and 5-0 in MW action as a sophomore.
The Lady Rebels will stay in Colorado Springs where they will take on Boise State on Sunday in what will be their final match played away from Las Vegas during the regular season.
