LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV tennis sophomore Lucia Batta earned her second Mountain West Player of the Week award this season and third of her career, the league announced Thursday.

The native of Budapest, Hungary, went 3-0 in singles vs. three ranked teams last weekend to improve her overall record to 20-6. She has yet to lose even a set in compiling a 10-0 singles record in dual matches this season.

Currently ranked 58th in the nation, Batta first downed Utah's 104th-ranked Sarah Pham, then swept Long Beach State's Anais Dallara on Saturday before finishing off Texas Tech's Elizabeth Ullathorne in straight sets on Sunday, 6-1, 6-3.

Batta and the Lady Rebels will next be in action on Friday when UNLV hosts a doubleheader vs. Nevada, Reno at 10 a.m. and against Northern Arizona at 2 p.m. at the Fertitta Tennis Complex. Admission to all UNLV tennis matches is free of charge.
