LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV's women's squad earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association Academic All-America status for the 15th time in 17 years, the ITA announced.

The ITA team award is open to any program that has a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or above.

In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must be a varsity letterwinner, have a GPA of at least 3.50 for the current academic year and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.

Individually honored for head coach Kevin Cory's team was its only senior, Rumyana Terzieva, as well as a pair of freshmen: Anett Ferenczi-Bako and Manon de Lanlay.

It marked the 10th consecutive season that at least two UNLV women earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors.

UNLV was one of only two schools -- along with TCU -- in the Mountain West to see both its men's and women's teams earn the ITA honor in 2012.
