Rebels Conclude Final Day Of Classic

The UNLV Rebel track and field team concluded the second and final day of the UNLV Track Classic at Myron Partridge Stadium/Sheila-Tarr Smith Field with two first-place finishes and a total of 24 in the top eight. Zadia Bryant and Kelsey Williamson finished first in the 200m (24.75) and 400m (55.33), respectively.
"It was a great day at the track," said head coach Yvonne Scott. "It was awesome to see so many people out at the stadium supporting the sport."
Christine Lowe ran the second-fastest time in the 400m hurdles (1:02.23) and helped UNLV's "A" 4x400m relay team to a third-place finish (3:46.74). She was joined by Emily Blok, Lindsay Roach and Zorich in the relay portion.
Blok, Roach and Bryant were joined by Davina Collins on the 4x100m relay team that finished second with a time of 46.84.
Taylar Mills had a jump of 36-3.00 (11.05m), which was good enough for second place.
Stephanie Scafer finished third in the high jump with a jump of 5-3.00 (1.65m), while Ria Daniels came in third in the long jump with a measurement of 18-0.25 (5.49m).
Amanda Bingson had the third-best toss in the discus with a distance of 144-3.00 (43.97m).
UNLV is back in action next week with its own Sheila Tarr-Smith Invitational on March 9-10.
