SAN DIEGO (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV track & field program got a couple fine performances from three of its own Friday at San Diego State's Aztec Invitational. While the majority of the meet is being contested at the AzTrack at the SDSU Sports Deck, Cortney Miller competed in the hammer throw, which was being held at UC San Diego, and finished third overall with a toss of 181-11 (55.44m).

Two Rebels ran the 1500m with Miranda Menzies finishing 14th in a personal-best time of 4:40.97 while teammate Laura Affeld was 24th (4:54.46) in her first attempt at the distance.

The women's portion of the Invite will feature three top-25 programs in #2 Oregon, #7 USC and #11 SDSU. Besides those three squads and UNLV, Academy of Art, BYU, UC Colorado Springs, Grand Canyon, UC Riverside and UC San Diego will also compete in America's Finest City.
