SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Three throwers from the UNLV women's track and field team competed Saturday at the Triton Invitational, held on the campus of UC San Diego at the Triton Track and Field Stadium.

Monique Humphries, Alayna Mills and Olivia Raya all threw in events for the Rebels, as head coach Barbara Ferrell-Edmonson decided to rest her runners after they ran in rainy conditions last week.

Raya was the busiest of the trio, throwing in three events at the meet, beginning with the hammer throw on Friday night. She finished 34th in that event with a mark of 136-2.00 and then she added a 25th in the shot put (37-4.50) and a 29th place in the discus (133-11.00).

Humphries competed in two events, coming in 26th in the hammer (149-8.00) and 22nd in the shot put (39-5.25). Mills added a 30th place in the shot put with a heave of 31-8.50.

UNLV continues its outdoor season next Saturday at the Steve Scott Invitational, an all-day meet held at UC Irvine in Irvine, Calif.
