Irvine, Calif. - Going into the last meet of the outdoor season at the Steve Scott Invitational in Irvine, California, UNLV wanted to post strong results and this weekend they came out strong going into the championship.

Highlights for the meet included the 4X100 relay team who came in second place with a time of 45.38 and beat out conference rivals San Diego State who came in fourth with a time of 45.63. The 4X400 came in first place with a time of 3:50.08

Head coach Yvonne Scott-Williams was pleased with the overall results.

"Overall is a good competition for the entire team. There were a few personal records and a few season best marks but the team is consistent. We were hoping for a few more regional marks but that didn't happen this weekend but we anticipate it happening soon," says Scott- Williams.

UNLV has a week off to prepare for the upcoming Mountain West Championship in Fort Worth, Texas.
