LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - Day two of the 2013 Mountain West Track & Field came to a close with the conclusion of the men's decathlon and the women's heptathlon at UNLV's Myron Partridge Stadium and Sheila Tarr-Smith Field. One day after seeing teammate Taylar Mills pull out of the event comprised of seven disciplines, Juliet Summers finished 13th overall (3,645 points). San Diego State's Allison Reaser won the heptathlon - her third in a row - with 5,612 points.

Colorado State's John McMillin claimed the top spot in the decathlon with a score of 6,873 points. McMillin finished first in both the shot put and the pole vault to aid in his victory.

Summers had her best showings - sixth place - in the 200m (25.61) and long jump (5.40m).

Friday kicks off a full day's action with eight events in the field (trials and finals) and 18 events contested on the track. Four of those on the track will crown a champion, while 11 others will see individuals qualify for Saturday's finals.

Day three of the meet begins at 8:00 am with the women's 10,000m. The track portion opens up at 10:00 am with the women's discus.
