Rebels Make Return Trip To Seattle|

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV track & field program returns to the Pacific Northwest for the second time this indoor season with another stop at a meet hosted by Washington at the Dempsey Indoor. UW will play host to the two-day Husky Classic, which will feature No. 1 Arkansas, No. 3 Oregon, No. 8 Texas, No. 15 Tennessee, No. 16 Stanford, No. 17 Michigan and many more collegiate squads.
The Rebels will compete in the 200m and Distance Medley Relay at 4:00 pm and 4:45 pm Friday, respectively.
The Scarlet & Gray has entrants in nine events Saturday. The preliminary heats of the 60m hurdles gets day two's action started at 9:30 am, while UNLV's first field event is slated to begin with the weight throw at 10:00 am. The Rebels will end the day at 5:05 pm with the women's 4x400m relay.
Through three weeks of action, UNLV's Najia Hudspeth sits atop the 400m Mountain West standings with a time of 54.47. The Rebels also have student-athletes that rank second in the 200m ( Drea Austin /23.91), 800m ( Avi'Tal Perteete /2:07.12), 60m hurdles ( Jasmyne Graham /8.41) and shot put ( MacKenna Howard /52-5.5/15.99m) as well as their 4x400m relay (3:45.70). Additionally, Kaysha Love comes in third in both the 60m (7.51) and 200m (23.96).
This meet will serve as the final tune-up for UNLV before it heads back to Albuquerque, New Mexico, for the MW Indoor Championships in two weeks (February 22-24).
