Davis To Run At World Indoor Championships|

LAS VEGAS - UNLV women's track and field assistant coach Kia Davis will be competing for Team USA at the 2006 World Indoor Championships March 10-12 at the Olimpiyskiy Sport Palace Complex in Moscow, Russia.
Davis, who is in her first year as a volunteer assistant coach with the Rebels, will run the lead leg in the 4x400 meter relay.
A total of $2,288,000 in prize money awaits the medalists from the 26 events which will be contested in Moscow. As usual there is a bonus of $50,000 for any athlete who sets a new world record during the three days of competition. Individual finalists and relay teams competing in the finals will receive the following: 1. $40,000, 2. $20,000, 3. $10,000, 4. $8,000, 5. $6,000, 6. $4,000.
Head coach for the U.S. men's team is longtime coach of the Southern California Cheetahs Ernie Gregoire, and the women's head coach is Danny Williams of Cal Poly. Head managers are Rich Torrellas (men) and Thomas Johnson (women).
