Rebels Split Up For The Weekend|

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV track & field program will split up this weekend and send members to meets in Austin and San Diego. A small contingent will head to the Lone Star State for the Texas Relays while others will travel to the Golden State for the Cal-Nevada Championships. The former meet at Myers Stadium kicks off on Thursday, March 28, the latter one at Triton Track & Field Stadium starts on Friday, March 29.
The Rebels will have two individuals and one quartet compete on Thursday in Texas. Both Laura Affeld and Auszane Crowe-Carter will each compete twice. Affeld will participate in the 400m hurdles while Crowe-Carter will run the 1500m Section B race. Those two will join Corey Honeycutt and Kelsey Williamson in the 4x800m relay, which is the defending champion from last year's meet.
On Friday, UNLV will see Myshauna Alexander (javelin), Taylar Mills (100m hurdles), Erin Morris (100m hurdles), Uchechi Anunkor (100m), Emily Blok (100m), Honeycutt (1500m Section A) and a pair of relays, 4x100m and 4x400m, compete on the campus of the University of Texas.
In San Diego, the Rebels are entered in seven track events and three more in the field on Friday. Juliet Summers (100m hurdles and javelin), Jordan Hardy (100m hurdles and 400m hurdles) and Ayana Gales (100m and 200m) will each compete in a pair of events. Rhea Hill (400m), Jordan Smith (100m), Courtney Allen (800m), Miranda Menzies (800m), Iris Munguia (800m), Noela Estrada (400m hurdles), Ashley Franklin (200m), Amanda Berg (5000), Krystal Wharton (long jump), Adrianna Oliva (discus) and Cortney Miller (discus) will also represent UNLV on the first day of competition in America's Finest City.
